Lotus is rock band on the rise.  The boys recently sold out Denver’s 4500 person capacity Fillmore Auditorium, and NoCoast Photographer Tobin Voggesser was there to both document the evening and discuss future collaborations.

Lotus is currently touring as a 5-piece, with percussionist Chuck Morris back in full form. This past July, the NoCoast crew was fortunate to work with them on a moving imagery project when they headlined Red Rocks Amphitheater here in Colorado. We are very proud of the 13-minute documentary created from that evening, and look forward to working with the group in the near future. Check out some pictures from their recent Fillmore gig and our “Live At Red Rocks” film below:

Our friend Jeffery Garland  recently photographed some stills at the Installation Shoe Gallery - a downtown retailer that is part shoe store and part art collaborative. He invited NoCoast along to document behind-the-scenes footage of the session. Thus began a six month project to portray the city of Boulder in the flames of creativity.

Jeffery Garland is a photographer and a sneaker freak. He is married to a girl named Lisa, and has two cats named Blue and Genghis Tom. Jeffery’s grandfather helped nurture his love for photography by giving him his first manual camera. He still owns that camera, along with about 50 others that he has collected since then. Twelve years in the film industry has helped Jeffery build a foundation that easily translates into all forms of photography. He never planned to go this route, but life often unfolds in the weirdest ways. 

The result is a portrait of a photographer, a unique space, and a city ablaze with creativity. Enjoy… 

NoCoast teamed up with The String Cheese Incident’s Kyle Hollingsworth to promote his recent Beer Festival at the Boulder Beer Company. We spent the afternoon tasting the new Hoopla Festival IPA, and shot the above promotional video throughout the facility.
